Hello all! Sorry I didn't post last night, or yesterday evening for you all in the states. Our gracious hosts had a dinner party that went in to the wee hours of the night and we had a blast conversing with our new friends. As for our trip to Oslo yesterday, it was amazing. We toured the beautiful Oslo Opera House wich was actually designed by the same architects that designed the National September 11th Memorial Museum Pavilion/Cultural Complex at the World Trade Center site in New York. The Opera house was beautiful. We the walked through the city and got to see some important buildings, such as the Parliament building, whcich we will tour at a later date. We then had a lunch break after we stopped by the court house where Anders Behring Breivik is on trial for mass murder. It was a somber sight with the peaceful flowers all places outside the entrance. After lunch we then visited the world famous Frogner Park which includes the even more famous Vigeland Sculpture Park, with hundreds and hundreds of amazing sculptures completed by Gustav Vigeland. After we were all amazed By the park, it was time to travel home and call it a day. We went our separate ways and then my host had a magnificent dinner planned with friends from their neighborhood. All in all, it was another great day. Today we plan to visit a Norwegian church service and the hike in the country side here in Nittedal. Things are great here in Norway. We really love it.
