Hello again! We've had a really busy and exciting past couple of days. I haven't had a chance to blog because we've been so busy. On Wednesday we were able to take an intimately guided tour of the Norwegian Technical museum, lead by one of our hosts, Jan Alfred. In short it was amazing. The museum was a mix between a Smithsonian museum and the Carnegie Science Center. Simply amazing. Afterwards on Wednesday the team was able to wander around Oslo on our own. We did a little shopping and ate at a cafe that was simply divine. That evening we all said goodbye to out Nittedal families as the next day was our last there. On Thursday, most of us took it easy as the weather wasn't cooperating. We did laundry, caught up on emails, and simply rested. We also rehearsed our presentation that was to occur that evening. At 4:00pm, we went to dinner at the home of one of our awesome hosts, Gro. After dinner, we gave our presentation to the Nittedal Rotary Club. There was a lot of networking that took place at that meeting, and I can only describe that meeting as a success. The Hvaler club was waiting for us after that meeting. We packed the cars and were off on the 2 hour road trip south th the Hvaler region, which consists of mulitple islands. We were warmly welcomed by our new host families last night! Today was another exciting day. We had a vocational day, starting with a trip to a school that was very unusual. Many of the activities that happened there were actually run by students. The school was in a natural setting and has won awards for its architecture and for its curriculum. After that, we spent time at the newspaper from the town of Fredrikstad. We had a great time there. When that was all said and done, we toured the old town of Fredrikstad, which was once an old walled fortress. All in all,the last few days have been amazing. As usual, pictures will follow. Hat de bra!
