Hello again! We had such a busy day yesterday that I didn't even have time to blog. The last 2 days have been really exciting. Yesterday we visited the Nittedal ski area, a one room school house a 400 year old church and we met the mayor and vice mayor of Nittedal for lunch at the government building. Afterwards, we visited an awesome farm that has been transformed in to a golf course. The farm has a huge estate house owned by the Fearnley family. It was known as the Young/Fearnley Farm. The golf course is known as Aas Gard golf club. The house was amazing with lots of art and preserved rooms, even though part has been renovated to be lived in. We also visited a member of the Norway GSE team from last year, Camilla, at her dance studio. When it was all said and done, we then visited the house of one of our hosts, Jan Alfred for an excellent dinner. Today, we spent the day in Oslo. We first visited the building of the Auditor General, where we had a nice presentation of what exactly they do. Afterwards, we trekked through Oslo and visited the King's castle, on our way to checking out city halls and eventually touring the Nobel Peace Museum. On our way we also stopped by the Henrik Ibsen museum to check out some goods there. Now, we have a little break before we head to dinner again at another gracious Nittedal Rotary host. As always pictures are soon to follow. Until we meet again, ha det bra!
